Nissan Advances Electric Vehicle Technology

July 27, 2009 | | Comments 1

Nissan vehicles are some of the most fuel efficient vehicles on the road today. Recently, Nissan has developed, in partnership with NEC Corporation, a new lithium-ion battery that may take the idea of the all-electric car and make it much more feasible for today’s market.

These advances suggest that a new electric vehicle could go as far as 100 miles between charges, and would have a smaller, lighter battery. 100 miles is a significant leap over the 40-mile range of many early Electric Vehicles. that relied on nickel-metal-hydride batteries.

These newer batter advancements give the manufacturer the option of packaging them into the Nissan vehicle easier, and make it easier for Nissan to get an electric car to the mass market.

Over the next three years, Nissan will invest billions of dollars to introduce an electric car in the U.S., as well as other markets. A concept version of Nissan’s electric car will be shown in Japan in August. Nissan’s electric car will start selling in the U.s. some time in 2010.

This Innovations in car building and electric concepts are really nice, really good looking and the most important is that they are eco-friendly. The CO2 emissions are increasing much, and the big usage of automobiles last years, means that it will not stop increasing. We should reduce it, with such cars, like this.
