With the changes that Nissan has made with the 2008 Altima, as well as offering the Altima as a coupe, this car now appeals to buyers in other markets, as well. Here’s a quick look at this excellent car.

Price

The MSRP for the Nissan Alitma is right around $18,000 for the base model. Depending on the package and options you choose, the Altima can be as much $30,000.

Trim Levels

The 2008 Nissan Altima comes in four trim levels: 2.5, 2.5S, 3.5SE, and 3.5SL. The base 2.5 model is generally only available via special order, and it includes cruise control and keyless entry as standard features. The 2.5S adds air conditioning and an MP3 player input jack. The 3.5SE adds wood toned accents in the interior and a leather wrapped steering wheel. At the top of the heap is the 3.5SL. It has a Bose audio system, heated seats, leather seating, moonroof, and Bluetooth connectivity. There are, of course, packages you can add to these trim levels.

Safety Features

All Nissan Altima models have six airbags, standard. The 2.5 models have antilock brakes as optional equipment, and the 3.5 models have them as standard. The 2008 Altima received a five star rating for front impact crash safety by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Interior

The bench back seat makes the Nissan Altima sedan ideal for a family with children. The interior design is stylish, and has some especially attractive accents.

Performance

The 2008 Nissan Altima comes in a four cylinder or a six cylinder option. Steering is excellent, and it handles well. Buyers can get an optional six-speed manual transmission, too.

Overall, the Nissan Altima is an excellent value for the money. If you’re looking for a sporty car for the family, or for a coupe that has plenty of room and trunk space, the 2008 Nissan Altima is the car for you. Visit your Nissan dealer today and give one a look.

When you think of the Nissan Altima, you’re more likely to think “family vacation car” than you are “sleek and sporty.” Well, with the release of the 2008 Altima Coupe, Nissan is offering its buyers more choices. Like the Honda Accord Coupe and the Toyota Camry Solara, the Nissan Altima Coupe appeals to more than just a family with kids. The 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe brings “sleek and sporty” to the Altima line of cars.

When you step on the lot of your local Nissan Dealer, you can tell right away that the Altima coupe is more than just a 2-door version of the Altima sedan. In fact the two have only a single body panel in common. The Altima Coupe is cozy, and it is designed to handle beautifully.

Perhaps the best part about the Altima Coupe is its power. The Altima Coupe beats out both the Honda Accord Coupe and the Toyota Camry Solara when it comes to power. That is, in large part, because the Altima Coupe uses the engines and the transmissions from the Altima sedan. That means that Altima Coupe owners can choose between a 175 horsepower 4 cylinder engine and a 270 horsepower V6. You can get either with a six speed manual transmission, or you can go with the Continuously Variable Transmission. The CVT is more efficient, helping to optimize the power of the engine and maintain better fuel economy.

While the body of the Altima Coupe may not resemble the Altima Sedan, much of the interior has been borrowed from its bigger cousin. The Altima Coupe has a comfortable layout, optional front bucket seats and a foot-operated parking break for the CVT or a handbrake for the manual transmission. The interior materials are above average, and have a nice look to them. Overall, the look of the Nissan Altima Coupe isn’t especially original. However, it is clearly recognizable as a Nissan. Assembly is solid, and on par with other Nissan vehicles.

There are two different trim levels when it comes to tires. You can have either 60-aspect on 16-inch wheels or a marginally wider 55-aspect on 17-inch wheels. The Breaks on the Nissan Altima Coupe function well, and you can rely on them to stop you when you need to stop.

If you’re looking for a 2-person coupe with reasonable fuel economy, plenty of comfort and style, look no further than the 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe. Come on by our local Nissan Dealer- Pennsylvania today and test drive one today.

In 2008, the Nissan Altima holds true to its reputation. With a host of standard features, 100 cubic feet of passenger space and 13 cubic feet of cargo space, there’s plenty of room to put 5 people and all of their belongings.

Two major models of the Nissan Altima are currently available, the Altima 2.5 S and the Altima 3.5 S with a hybrid version available only in a few chosen states. The Altima 2.5 S comes with a 4 cylinder 2.5 L engine producing 175 hp and 180 lb-feet of torque.

Fuel efficiency is rated at 32 mpg in the city and 46 mpg on the highway with a 6-speed manual transmission. The Altima 3.5 S comes with a powerful 3.5 L V-6 engine, pulling a huge 270 hp and 258 lb-feet of torque. The 6-speed automatic transmission and larger engine still boast impressive fuel efficiency, at 25/37 mpg, despite the V-6 engine.

However, when it comes to driving these cars, perhaps the most impressive feature is the push button ignition. No more inserting a key; to start either vehicle all one has to do is push a button on the dashboard to start the engine, as long as the keys are in range of the vehicle. This feature really provides a feeling that one is in the presence of the car of the future.

The interior of the Altima 2.5 S and 3.5 S is no less impressive. A 6 speaker AM/FM radio with CD player and MP3 input is standard on both models, however Nissan hasn’t forgotten the true music enthusiast. As an optional upgrade, drivers can purchase a Bose audio system with AM/FM/in-dash 6-CD changer with 9 speakers, Radio Data System (RDS), and MP3/WMA CD playback capability. Illuminated steering wheel mounted audio controls are available on the 2.5 S and standard on the 3.5S, and speed sensitive volume control is also an option.

Both the Altima 2.5 S and 3.5 S were designed with safety in mind. Each model comes with front and side airbags, complete with Nissan’s Adavance Airbag System technology and seat belt sensors. Neither has Nissan forgotten the rear passengers, with roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental airbags for front and rear-seat outboard occupants head protection. An energy absorbing steering column is able to take up some of the energy created in a collision, and rounds out the safety feature that come standard in both models.
When you’ve made your choice and you’re ready to go, make sure to stop in to your Philadelphia area Nissan dealers for a test drive or stop by the Classic Nissan website to look at new inventory and specials.

Backed by an impressive history, the Nissan 350Z is Nissan’s nod to the sports car enthusiast. The 350Z is available in the Grand Touring M6 or Grand Touring A5 models, and is available in either a coupe or a roadster version to satisfy even the pickiest of drivers.

All four versions of this car come standard with a 3.5 L dual overhead cam V-6 engine putting out an impressive 306 hp and 268 lb-feet of torque. The engine features the Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System and oil-jet cooled molybdenum-coated pistons coupled with the Nissan Direct Ignition System with iridium-tipped spark plugs.

A 6-speed close-ratio manual transmission comes standard on both the Nissan 350Z M6 Grand Touring models, while both Grand Touring A5 models come standard with a 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode. Also standard on all models is the Brembo braking system — 4-piston callipers with 12.8″ x 1.18″ vented front discs and 2-piston caliper with 12.7″ x 0.87″ vented rear discs, 4 wheel anti-lock brakes, electronic brake force distribution and brake assist, for the ultimate in stopping power.

Style is something that Nissan has covered as all models are low to the ground and have a definite racing feel to them. The coupe models both have rear spoilers, while the roadster convertibles come equipped with an electronically moving soft convertible top and storage cover as well as a rear wind deflector to help control wind turbulence in the passenger area. Dual chrome exhaust tip finishers complete the racing look and feel to the vehicle.
On the inside, all of the Nissan 350 Z models sport a 7 speaker Bose 240 watt audio system with AM/FM/in-dash 6-CD changer and MP3/WMA capability. A 10” ND subwoofer, Radio Data system, steering wheel mounted audio controls and AutoPilot noise-compensating technology rounds out the entertainment system.

The Nissan Navigation system, complete with GPS, a DVD atlas and 7” color display, is available for all four models, as well as a Bluetooth hands free system and automatic climate control. The rear view mirror automatically dims depending on lighting conditions, and for those extremely bright days one can reach for the shades held in the overhead sunglasses storage compartment.

If you’re ready to take one of these sporty coupes or roadsters out for a test drive, stop by our Nissan Dealer – Trenton for a great selection or visit the Classic Nissan website to view new inventory, specials, and more.
