The Nissan Electric Vehicle prototype has been seen by auto industry enthusiasts and experts in Detroit, and this prototype all-electric Nissan Cube hasn’t failed to impress. The Cube electric prototype is one of the most sophisticated of the Electric Vehicles on the market and in design today.

One of the most noticeable things about the Cube EV is that it is quiet. It obviously doesn’t have the noise of pistons firing and other noises that you get from a gas engine, but it doesn’t have the high-pitched electrical whine that is so often the case with other Electric Vehicle prototypes.

The Nissan EV will be designed as a city vehicle, able to travel 70 miles on a single charge. It will serve very well as a second car for families who may rely on a gas-powered vehicle for longer trips and the EV for city driving.

The earliest that Nissan will release their Electric Vehicle will be in 2010. In the meantime, check out all of the amazing Nissan vehicles at your local Nissan dealer today.

The new 2009 Nissan Cube is aimed at a younger generation, and the marketing efforts that the company is making just reinforce that idea. The Nissan Cube, in one recent marketing campaign, is being referred to not as a car, but as a “Mobile Device.”

In many ways, the 2009 Nissan cube fits wonderfully into the digital age. In the same way that a buyer might customize a cell phone or a laptop, they can customize their Nissan Cube. The campaign is using other terms from the digital world, such as “browse,” “search engine,” “set preferences,” and “storage capacity” as well.

These ads are designed to appear on computer screens, cell phone screens, movie theatre screens, and of course television screens. These ads draw attention to the Cube’s unusual design, as well as its low price.

If you’re in the market for a new Mobile Device, check out the 2009 Nissan Cube.

Nissan is pulling out of Chicago and Detroit auto shows due to a lack of new products to promote and a change in the economy.

“Based on the fact that we have no major new products to show at the 2009 Detroit and Chicago auto shows, as well as the current economic conditions which will impact the shows’ marketing effectiveness, we have decided to cancel our involvement and participation,” the car company said in a statement.

Interestingly, the announcement came after Nissan revealed the Nissan Cube, an updated 370Z roadster, and a Versa with low price options at the Los Angeles Automotive Show last week. The Infiniti G37 convertible was also unleashed at the show. The question perhaps is that Nissan does not feel additional promotion of the aforementioned vehicles will make sense cost-wise at the Chicago and Detroit shows. They are also rather confident in their marketing thus far and probably do not feel the additional boost would be that substantial.

On the other hand, the Detroit show does seem to get the most press out of all of the auto shows in the United States. By not appearing in the show, Nissan sacrifices some additional press for its more impressive models. Still, it looks like the decision essentially came down to cost and Nissan had to make the right choice.

The jokes about the 2010 Nissan Cube are obvious and, once one has been behind the wheel of one of these beauties, only a fool would make them.

In fact, despite its rather “box-like” appearance, the Cube marks the future of new vehicles in terms of efficiency, operation, and overall driveability. It is one hell of an automobile and Nissan is hoping its “fridge on wheels” will move some serious units when it is released in 2010. And by all accounts, the Nissan Cube should sell relatively well in a market looking for something new and compelling. It worked with Toyota’s Scion line, which was just slightly less boxy than the Nissan Cube.

While there’s little doubt that the Nissan Cube is an efficient vehicle, there are some facets of it that may surprise even the most hardened opponent. For starters, the vehicle is incredibly roomy despite what it may look like on the outside. There is a considerable amount of leg-room and seat room, allowing people to stretch out more than they might expect from such a car.

In terms of performance, there isn’t much to offer that isn’t standard on a vehicle of its type. But it does have plenty of zip and will work in small situations well. It’s easy to park, naturally.

For more information on the 2010 Nissan Cube, keep it locked here and check out your local dealer for more on other Nissan cars.

It looks like Nissan’s gas-powered Cube is going to be heading to the United States in 2009. Nissan 2008 already has released an all-electric version of the car in Japan and its popularity is unquestionable. In fat, the car has been making waves internationally since 2004 when it made its debut on the international stage. The United States was the odd one out.

The Nissan Cube looks to compete directly with the Scion xB from Toyota. Nissan is hoping to price the vehicle lowly enough so that students and young drivers will be able to make it a car of choice and still have enough money left over to add a slew of extra features, including custom graphics, stereo equipment, and other personalized features.

The Cube, which should hit most Nissan lots in early 2009 in the U.S., represents yet another car on the market with which fuel economy is a top priority.

For those with knowledge of Nissan cars, the advent of the Cube in America is exciting news. The Scion xB needs a direct competitor and most reports say that Nissan’s car is more than a suitable challenger. The small, boxy hatchback has made it big in Japan and has sold well internationally, so it’s probably only a matter of time before the same success is felt in the United States.
