Nissan NP300 Introduced in the UK
Nissan appears to be focusing on the light commercial vehicle market these days. At the Birmingham, UK Commercial Vehicle Show, Nissan premiered the new NP300. The vehicle is a re-introduction of its classic workhorse, now available in three different cab styles. All three styles are durable and tough, designed for both on-road and off-road work needs.
Off-Road Capabilities
Although two-wheel drive is standard in all three body styles, four-wheel drive is available as an option. The vehicles feature a sump and a gas tank guard. With a wading depth of 450 mm and a ground clearance of 230 mm, the NP300 is capable of withstanding even tough terrain. Hills are no problem either, with a 39 degree maximum climb gradient. A five-speed transmission, limited slip differential and tough front suspension provide needed traction and stability.
In-Cab Comfort
The Single Cab is perfect for those who work alone or with one or two partners. The cab seats three comfortably, and provides the largest truck bed in its range, at 2.2 meters long and 1.4 meters wide.
The King Cab is an excellent choice for those who need a bit of interior storage. The cab seats only two, but provides a good bit of secure in-cab storage while sacrificing only a small amount of bed space.
For those who need to transport additional people, the Double Cab is the best choice. This option comfortably seats five adults.
While the NP300 is tough and reliable, it does not sacrifice comfort. Air conditioning, keyless entry, CD audio and even power windows and mirrors are just a few of the features that make the truck feel luxurious.
