Wider Girth Gives Maxima Improved Handling

October 24, 2008 | jcme | Comments 0

The Nissan Maxima for 2009 has yet another thing going for it that many other cars might not be proud of. Indeed, the wider girth of the Maxima allows for better handling than its predecessors and many of its competitors.

Sure, an increase in width isn’t going to be a reason to celebrate for us humans. But for the 2009 Maxima, an increase in girth around the midsection is just the ticket to improve the safe-handling capabilities of the car. It adds smoothness to the turning and improves the way the car moves. Add to that the fact that the Maxima is shorter in car length and wheelbase and you’ve got a short, stout car that can really handle the curves. No question about it.

Perhaps amazingly, the reduction in length and the addition in girth has resulted in an overall weight reduction in the 2009 Maxima. Indeed the car is slicker and lighter, offering better movement and control to the driver. Add to that an increase in cabin room and you’ve got a car that offers more elbow room than ever before with a lot of control and easy-driving goodness to boot.

For your chance to slip into a 2009 Maxima, head on down to your local dealer today and book a test drive.
