Nissan’s New Commercial Vehicle

November 10, 2008 | | Comments 0

One of the most important factors in being a successful car company is change. A successful company of any kind must never be complacent, as complacency can lead to outdated, outmoded philosophies and, worse yet, outdated and outmoded products. Most car companies branch out, allowing for vehicles in other areas and improving the operation of their older models with new updates and upgrades.

Nissan is no different. Today, Nissan North America released the first renderings of what it is considering a commercial-grade van. The vehicle will go into production at Nissan’s Mississippi plant.

OAS_AD(‘ArticleFlex_1′);The Nissan NV2500 Concept will debut in Detroit in two months at the 2009 North American International Auto Show. There, Nissan hopes to show the world that it is branching into the commercial area with a seamless movement. The NV2500 will be the first of three commercial trucks that Nissan is aiming to roll out in production at its Canton plant. First, an overhaul of the plant will take place as Nissan puts $118 million into the makeover.

After the production shift in Canton, many are expecting Nissan to become a reputable force for commercial vehicles. With the NV2500 being the first of three, its success is incredibly important to the company.
