Nissan’s All-Around Collision-Free Prototype
Nissan is certainly quickly becoming one of the most compelling car companies on the face of the earth. Regardless of the process of human error and poor road judgment, Nissan is introducing a set of technologies that will help eliminate accidents or, at the very least, extraordinarily lower the risk of them.
Nissan announced yesterday that it will demonstrate its advanced “All-Around Collision Free” prototype vehicle (complete with two all-new accident avoidance technologies) at the 15th World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems in New York. The Congress takes place November 16-20 and should be very revealing in terms of what Nissan has to offer the world in the field of crash prevention.
This is the first time the “All-Around Collision Free” prototype will be displayed in the United States. It also marks the world’s first demonstration of Back-up Collision Prevention, which is pretty much what it sounds like. The prototype also incorporates Side Collision Prevention and two current production technologies, Distance Control Assist and Lane Departure Prevention.
These technologies help eliminate the risk involved with driving by adding extra sensors and devices that will help the driver become more aware behind the wheel. Granted, the Nissan system can’t help other drivers nor can it save the road from idiots everywhere, but responsible drivers around the world will have a lot to gain from Nissan’s system.
