Nissan Launches 0% Financing on Five Models
Nissan is gearing up to try to boost its disappointing U.S. sales by offering a special 0% financing plan on five models.
The plan is also designed to tell American consumers that credit is still available. Nissan has been marketing this notion heavily as of late, informing consumers that credit is available with its dealers and trying to take away the fear that many citizens have of locking into some sort of credit arrangement that they will not be able to pay for.
Nissan’s North American unit will offer the 36-month financing program on its Rogue and Murano crossovers, its Altima and Sentra sedans and its Versa hatchback from November 4 to January 5 2009.
The plan marks the first time that the car company has had such a comprehensive package on so many vehicles over such a long period of time. It really is a remarkably opportunity for consumers to get behind the wheel of a Nissan vehicle.
“It was not about offering zero-percent on our least-popular models,” Al Castignetti, vice president and general manager of Nissan North America’s Nissan division, said. “It was about having a real deal on the most popular vehicles that we sell, and if you’re serious about this … then you bring it on your best-moving product.”
