Get Through Winter
Guess what’s right around the corner? Along with the holidays comes the bitter, bitter cold and along with the bitter, bitter cold comes brutal driving conditions, especially if you live in areas with colder climates. And whether you drive an old-fashioned beater or a brand spanking new 2009 Maxima, you’ll need to make sure that you’re taking care of your vehicle in those chilly months.
Tires
The first things you’ll need to check out on your car for the winter are the tires. Make sure you’ve got plenty of tread and, depending on where you live, a solid set of winter or all-season tires that can grip the ice and snow and make driving easier. Full winter tires are your best options, of course, but a good pair of all-seasons can take you through if need be.
Battery
Make sure you check your battery to ensure that it has enough juice. Have it checked by your mechanic and make sure that it has plenty of charge for the winter, as you’d hate to get stuck out there without power in your vehicle.
Fluid Levels
Make sure your fluid levels are up to par. Check coolant and oil regularly to make sure that you’re running your vehicle at the right temperatures. Your mechanic will now the exact readings you’ll need, so take your car or truck in as soon as possible to get the jump on the chilly weather this winter.
If you’re ever in doubt about the reliability of your car, you can always come on down and check out one of our brand new 2009 Maxima models from Nissan. To book your test drive today, click below!
