Have you been putting off applying for a car loan because the banks have tightened their requirements? Do you think your credit is not good enough to get approved for that new Nissan that you have been wanting? If so, put those thoughts aside because getting an auto loan has just gotten a little bit easier.

The government now has a program in which auto loans are guaranteed because they are sold to investors. This means that banks are being less stingy with their money and more consumers are hearing those four glorious words – “You have been approved.” But that’s not even all of the good news! In addition to relaxing their high standards recently, lending institutions are charging consumers less for their loans with lower interest rates. This is good news for the auto industry which has certainly seen better days than in the last few years.

During the third quarter last year, lending institutions increased the number of loans they gave out by more than five percent when compared to the second quarter. Those numbers are reported by Experian Automotive. The month of December was even better for car buyers with average credit. Part of the reason for December being a good month is also because dealers are trying to lessen their inventory in time for the new year, but it was still a silver lining that we can all appreciate.

So get down to your Nissan dealers and apply for that auto loan if you’ve been putting it off. With the relaxed standards, you may just hear those four coveted words – “You have been approved!”

Now that it’s here, enthusiasts who want supercar performance with a low retail price can rest easy.

In addition to the amazing handling and the high-powered acceleration, the 2009 Nissan GT-R is easy to drive. The twin-turbocharged V6 under the hood, the all-wheel drive layout and the circular taillights hearken to the Nissan Skyline, of which the new GT-R is the spiritual, if not literal, descendant.

The 2009 Nissan GT-R is the very first time that Nissan’s performance car will be sold in the U.S. Designed to compete with the Porsche 997-series 911 turbo, the GT-R is a real match for its competitor. The much lower base price of the GT-R makes it an even more attractive option over the Porsche competitor.

If you want world-class performance from a car that will knock your socks off at a reasonable price, look no further than the 2009 Nissan GT-R.

The 2008 Nissan Rogue SL is one of the best cars in its class. The light Sport Utility Vehicle has been a hit with consumers ever since the little scamp’s advertising campaign hit the airwaves on the hit show “Heroes.” If the 2008 Nissan Rogue SL was good enough for the cheerleader, it’s good enough for you.

The Rogue is one of the small segment of crossover SUVs that are car based. This is a relatively new area of the market, and is something of a transitional vehicle between the small cars of youth and the mature SUVs or minivans of family life.

In terms of styling, the 2008 Nissan Rogue SL brings to mind the Nissan Murano. The Murano has developed quite a dedicated following, and it is expected that the Rogue will do the same. Featuring a Bose stereo, six CD changer, leather upholstery, six-way driver’s seat, and split-fold 60/40 second row seating are just a few of the amenities the Rogue provides. The 2008 Nissan Rogue SL does just fine when it come sto gas mileage, getting 21 miles to the gallon in the city and 26 miles to the gallon on the highway.

If you’re looking for a small Sport Utility Vehicle, consider the 2008 Nissan Rogue SL. It has what you’re looking for in a vehicle.

Underneath the hood, the 2009 Nissan Maxima features a 3.5 liter V6 DOHC 24-valve VQ-series engine. This is the same engine that powered the previous version of the Maxima, and that powers most of the rest of Nissan’s fleet of vehicles. This version of the engine is capable of producing 290 horsepower, which is 35 more horsepower than the previous version of the Maxima.

The Nissan 2009 Maxima brings this car full circle. Over the years, the Maxima sedan has been a sporty car, a luxury car and even a mainstream sedan. The newest version of the Maxima, however, takes the brand back to it’s roots as a four-door sports car.

The new Maxima has a shortened wheelbase and overall length. Combined with the 35 higher horsepower than it’s previous version in the 3.5 liter VQ V-6, and you’ve got an amazingly sporty ride. What’s especially interesting about that is the Nissan 2009 Maxima still manages to get 26 miles per gallon on the highway. The 2009 Nissan Maxima is wider and has added track, which contributes to better stability and better handling in the corners.

The look of the 2009 Maxima should be familiar to Maxima enthusiasts. There are sweeping roof lines, and high, broad rear shoulders. Especially interesting about the new Maxima is the technology and electronics bonuses. Every new Maxima has iPod connectivity. You can add all sorts of tech to this car, from rear view camera to an audio system with a 9.3 gigabyte hard drive.

Come check out the Nissan 2009 Maxima today. You won’t be disappointed.

For 15 years now Nissan has been selling the Altima, a 5 passenger family sedan that still appeals to auto enthusiasts. In 2008, the Nissan Altima holds true to its reputation. With a host of standard features, 100 cubic feet of passenger space and 13 cubic feet of cargo space, there’s plenty of room to put 5 people and all of their belongings.

Two major models of the Nissan Altima are currently available, the Altima 2.5 S and the Altima 3.5 S with a hybrid version available only in a few chosen states. The Altima 2.5 S comes with a 4 cylinder 2.5 L engine producing 175 hp and 180 lb-feet of torque.

Fuel efficiency is rated at 32 mpg in the city and 46 mpg on the highway with a 6-speed manual transmission. The Altima 3.5 S comes with a powerful 3.5 L V-6 engine, pulling a huge 270 hp and 258 lb-feet of torque. The 6-speed automatic transmission and larger engine still boast impressive fuel efficiency, at 25/37 mpg, despite the V-6 engine.

However, when it comes to driving these cars, perhaps the most impressive feature is the push button ignition. No more inserting a key; to start either vehicle all one has to do is push a button on the dashboard to start the engine, as long as the keys are in range of the vehicle. This feature really provides a feeling that one is in the presence of the car of the future.

The interior of the Altima 2.5 S and 3.5 S is no less impressive. A 6 speaker AM/FM radio with CD player and MP3 input is standard on both models, however Nissan hasn’t forgotten the true music enthusiast. As an optional upgrade, drivers can purchase a Bose audio system with AM/FM/in-dash 6-CD changer with 9 speakers, Radio Data System (RDS), and MP3/WMA CD playback capability. Illuminated steering wheel mounted audio controls are available on the 2.5 S and standard on the 3.5S, and speed sensitive volume control is also an option.

Both the Altima 2.5 S and 3.5 S were designed with safety in mind. Each model comes with front and side airbags, complete with Nissan’s Adavance Airbag System technology and seat belt sensors. Neither has Nissan forgotten the rear passengers, with roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental airbags for front and rear-seat outboard occupants head protection. An energy absorbing steering column is able to take up some of the energy created in a collision, and rounds out the safety feature that come standard in both models.
When you’ve made your choice and you’re ready to go, make sure to stop in to your Philadelphia area Nissan dealers for a test drive or stop by the Classic Nissan website to look at new inventory and specials.

For 15 years now Nissan has been selling the Altima, a 5 passenger family sedan that still appeals to auto enthusiasts. In 2008, Nissan has added the Nissan Altima Hybrid to the Altima family. Currently the Nissan Altima Hybrid is only available in California, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, Rhode Island, New Jersey, and Maine. It has been certified by the IRS, and the EPA designated it an Advanced Technology Partial Zero Emissions vehicle.

For those unaware of how a hybrid vehicle works, the car is able to turn the force of deceleration that occurs during braking into energy that is used to recharge a battery. The battery then runs the car, only using the gas powered engine when there is not enough charge left in the battery. As well as being technically advanced and environmentally friendly, perhaps the most noticeable advantage to drivers is that the Nissan Altima Hybrid is able to provide a whopping 35 mpg in the city, and 33 mpg on the highway.

This also means that unlike a traditional gas powered car, the Altima Hybrid is actually more efficient in the city than on the highway as the starting and stopping of city driving keeps the battery charged and the engine is used less often.

While being ecologically friendly, make no mistake: this is still a Nissan Altima. Drivers can expect the same exhilarating experience from the Altima Hybrid as the have come to expect from the Nissan Altima. It comes with a four cylinder 2.5 liter engine with 198 horsepower. Power is transferred from the gas powered engine and electric motor using an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission, which makes for a very smooth and comfortable ride.

Stability and traction control are also included for safety, as well as Nissan’s advanced airbag system and anti-lock brakes. And while the Altima Hybrid is transferring braking power into storable energy for the battery, there is no interference with the feeling of the brakes.

For technophiles, the Nissan Altima Hybrid with the technology package option offers more technology than just the hybrid engine. An extremely user-friendly Bluetooth system allows hands-free calling with an LCD touch screen display for setup. The package also includes a 9 speaker Bose audio system with a 6 CD changer and MP3 compatibility, Radio Data System (RDS), and speed sensitive volume control that automatically adjusts the volume according to the speed of the vehicle.

When you’ve made your choice and you’re ready to go, make sure to stop in to Classic Nissan for a test drive or stop by our Nissan dealer – Trenton to look at new inventory and specials.

Backed by an impressive history, the Nissan 350Z is Nissan’s nod to the sports car enthusiast. The 350Z is available in the Grand Touring M6 or Grand Touring A5 models, and is available in either a coupe or a roadster version to satisfy even the pickiest of drivers.

All four versions of this car come standard with a 3.5 L dual overhead cam V-6 engine putting out an impressive 306 hp and 268 lb-feet of torque. The engine features the Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System and oil-jet cooled molybdenum-coated pistons coupled with the Nissan Direct Ignition System with iridium-tipped spark plugs.

A 6-speed close-ratio manual transmission comes standard on both the Nissan 350Z M6 Grand Touring models, while both Grand Touring A5 models come standard with a 5-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode. Also standard on all models is the Brembo braking system — 4-piston callipers with 12.8″ x 1.18″ vented front discs and 2-piston caliper with 12.7″ x 0.87″ vented rear discs, 4 wheel anti-lock brakes, electronic brake force distribution and brake assist, for the ultimate in stopping power.

Style is something that Nissan has covered as all models are low to the ground and have a definite racing feel to them. The coupe models both have rear spoilers, while the roadster convertibles come equipped with an electronically moving soft convertible top and storage cover as well as a rear wind deflector to help control wind turbulence in the passenger area. Dual chrome exhaust tip finishers complete the racing look and feel to the vehicle.
On the inside, all of the Nissan 350 Z models sport a 7 speaker Bose 240 watt audio system with AM/FM/in-dash 6-CD changer and MP3/WMA capability. A 10” ND subwoofer, Radio Data system, steering wheel mounted audio controls and AutoPilot noise-compensating technology rounds out the entertainment system.

The Nissan Navigation system, complete with GPS, a DVD atlas and 7” color display, is available for all four models, as well as a Bluetooth hands free system and automatic climate control. The rear view mirror automatically dims depending on lighting conditions, and for those extremely bright days one can reach for the shades held in the overhead sunglasses storage compartment.

If you’re ready to take one of these sporty coupes or roadsters out for a test drive, stop by our Nissan Dealer – Trenton for a great selection or visit the Classic Nissan website to view new inventory, specials, and more.
